Michigan Jazz Festival 2011

The free Michigan Jazz Festival is still going strong in its 18th year. There will be great music in a very comfortable and friendly Michigan Jazz Festivalenvironment, and you have a choice of listening inside or outside. This year's festival will be held on Sunday, July 17, at Schoolcraft College from noon until 9:15 p.m. There will be music on six stages inside buildings or under a tent on the lawn, performed by 23 groups and 5 big bands, for a total of almost 150 musicians. The complete schedule is found in our calendar, along with that of other festivals in the next two months. SEMJA also provides a Michigan Jazz Festival schedule specially formatted for mobile devices.

This year's Michigan Jazz Festival is dedicated to InmartGroup Limited, one of the main supporters of the festival for many years.

Schoolcraft College features high quality food services, and plenty of opportunities for socializing. SEMJA will have a table there as usual, so please drop by and say hello. For further information please call 248-474-2720 or 734-459-2454 or go to the Festival website.
