EMJA
will present its second Youth Jazz Workshop on Saturday, March
11, at the Bird of Paradise in Ann Arbor from 2 to 4 p.m. The legendary
Detroit jazz educator and saxophonist Ernie Rodgers will be this yearís
clinician and he will direct an improvisation workshop aimed mainly, but
not only, to area Middle and High School Students. Students are encouraged
to bring their instruments and are asked to pay a $3 admission fee. Parents
are admitted at no cost.
The
Bird of Paradise has at press time not yet moved from its present location
207 S. Ashley to its new location at 314 South Main Street, but the move
might have taken place on the 11th . Fortunately the new location is just
