Club Series
The collaborative series between SEMJA and Kerrytown Concert House continues with Mr. B’s Annual Birthday Bounce on Saturday, February 14, at 8:00 p.m. Pianist Mr B (Mark Braun) will be joined by guitarist 
Ralph Tope, who is emerging as one of the major exponents of soul/jazz guitar in the area. Mr. B is probably best known for playing his boogie and blues on the sunny streets of the Ann Arbor Art Fairs for years, but in fact he has enjoyed an internationally recognized career. He has collaborated with many major figures in blues and jazz, like J.C. Heard, Ray Bryant, Monty Alexander, John Hammond, and Duke Robillard.
SEMJA will help create a club feeling by serving beer, wine, and soft drinks for the event.
Scheduled next in the SEMJA / KCH Series is another local favorite, vocalist Susan Chastain on April 11.
