Southeastern Michigan Jazz Association Ann Arbor, Michigan SEMJA UPDATE CONTACT: |
SEMJA celebrated Ron Brooks with a big award ceremony on April 21. Kerrytown Concert House was jammed with SEMJA members, Bird of Paradise devotees, and fans
of Ron, and the Ron Brooks trio treated them with many bebop gems. Tad Weed amazed with his keyboard skills and musical imagination and George Davidson was rock solid on the traps. After the award ceremony, several people hung around for socializing with Ron and the band.
SEMJA extends a big thanks to Deanna Relyea of the Kerrytown Concert House for her generous cooperation on this event.
