Virtual Edgefest Continues

This year’s Edgefest at Kerrytown Concert House has adapted to pandemic conditions and is largely virtual. It combines national acts (all virtual) and local acts (who will play on the Kerrytown Stage with no audience

The first installment of Edgefest in the new year will be on January 22 at 7:30 p.m. and features trumpeter Jaimie Branch from Chicago. Branch made a big splash when she appeared at her first Edgefest a few years ago with her gutsy playing and presentation. Saxophonist and Univeristy of Michigan Professor of Music Andrew Bishop will appear on January 22 as well.
Coming up on February 19 are Edgefest regulars the Human Rites Trio with Jason Kao Hwang on violin with Ken Filiano on bass and Andrew Drury on drums.

On the same bill will be pianist Mara Rosenbloom, who also has appeared at Edgefest before it went virtual. On March 26 the Joe Daley Tuba Trio will appear with Scott Robinson on reeds and Warren Smith on drums.
