Kerrytown Concert House was jammed with SEMJA members, Bird of Paradise devotees, and fans of Ron, and the Ron Brooks trio treated them with many bebop gems. PREVIEW: Detroit Jazz Festival 2012 Announced
The 2012 Detroit Jazz Festival announced its lineup of national talent on April 17 at the Detroit Athletic Club. New artistic director Chris Collins seems to have put his stamp on the program with a long line of prominent instrumentalists (very few vocalists) firmly in the jazz tradition (including a few more adventurous names).
